Maurice A. Paquin Sr., 92 of Greenville, RI passed away on Thursday, May 23rd at Heritage Hills in Smithfield, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Yvonne Paquin and they were each other’s sweethearts for 72 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Napoleon Paquin and Flora Paquin(Rivard). He lived a happy and fulfilled life with his loving wife Yvonne and their six children.

He served as a Cook in the US Airforce and was stationed in Bermuda. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a Machinist for Wardwell in Central Falls and for Mossberg in Cumberland. He also worked for Fiberglass in Cumberland as a Machine Operator. He spent many years coaching Little League Baseball and football teams in Central Falls. He loved spending time with his kids fishing, playing whiffle ball, going to Rocky Point and seeing the Blue Angel airshows at Quonset Point. Some of his favorite songs were Teach Your Children, Me and Bobby McGee, Leader of The Band, Spirit in the Sky and Sweet Caroline.

Maurice is survived by his wife Yvonne Paquin(Dufault)and his children, Maurice Paquin Jr. and his wife Deborah from Summerville SC, Diane Macedo from Cumberland, Debra Hetu and her husband George from Greenville, David Paquin and his wife Robin from Pawtucket, Lisa Cassani and her husband Mickey from North Providence and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and also his sister Eileen Paquin. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Mulry and his granddaughter Melissa Mulry, his brothers and sisters Helen, Loretta, Edward, Ernest, Alice, Claire, Leo, Bertha and Earl Paquin.

A private service will be held in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue in Lincoln, RI.
